As New Yorkers – and most of the Northeast – prepare for a week long heat wave, a new public exhibition warns us about the dangers of climate change.
Located in Battery Park between the backdrops of the new World Trade Center and The Statue Of Liberty, Cool Globes is a public art installation that features 12 globe sculptures with messages on how we can reduce and mitigate climate change in our day to day actions.
New York is just the latest city to host such an exhibit. Since 2007, Cool Globes has presented installations in Chicago, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Houston, Vancouver, Sundance, Cleveland, Boston, Copenhagen, Geneva, Marseilles, Amsterdam and Jerusalem.
The exhibit will be display through November 20th.
