June is Gun Violence Awareness Month and we have various events throughout June. The participants in our program designed t-shirts for the march, created murals, speak-out in the community regarding gun violence as their public service campaign that “ENOUGH is ENOUGH.” Our annual march includes clergy, family members of victims of gun violence, local elected officials, merchants, community leaders, reggae/soca artist and other prominent people in the work of gun violence awareness. Our resource and health fair includes legal assistance, job opportunities, summer programs, health awareness, intervention and prevention organizations. Our showcase includes a lineup of performers, speakers about gun violence, and family members of victims of gun violence. We will have a showcase at Kings Theatre in the courtyard with various artist and speakers as we kick off Gun Violence Awareness Month.
